hello.

Hello, about my images that can be deleted.

All those images are not my work. For each biography I have provided a link to the book from which I took the images. I don't know what more I can do than that. The author of the books is a neighbor of mine, a university professor, but he is very old, almost 90 years old, and is in a wheelchair.

all I know is that he worked for 10 years on these books, which I had a hard time obtaining, and they are some unique biographies, unique information. It's a shame that they don't appear on Wikipedia.

Police automobiles in Belarus and Police vehicles of Belarus categories

In April 2024, there was an IP user who, without reason, depopulated the categories of Police automobiles in Belarus and Police vehicles of Belarus categories by transferring the files contained in these categories into Militsiya automobiles. This is notwithstanding with my act to revert that IP user's unexplained move. You then deleted these categories, apparently in accordance with COM:CSD#C2. An example can be seen here.

I believe these actions are uncontributive, Militsiya is used by several post-Soviet law enforcement agencies, so the category of "Militsiya automobiles" will consist of files of police automobiles from all over the post-Soviet realm, and country-based categorization would be more convenient (and indeed the primary category for most automobiles categories). Moreover, the two categories are not mutually exclusive, so I believe the deleted categories are far from unuseful.

I therefore request to re-create the deleted categories, repopulate the files, and take measures to prevent that IP user from depopulating and nominating the categories for deletion again. Thank you. 廣九直通車 (talk) 04:29, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Image deletion

Hi, you recently deleted my uploaded image per COM:WEBHOST, but I do not see how that is a violation because it’s just my personal photo for self identification, used only on my user page, and not a promotional content or advertisement of some sort. Yann: The global contribs show the dedication and contributions of this user and the file was used on user pages across multiple relevant wikis (meta origination). I can't see the image to evaluate it though.
@Adamant1: A comment starting with "No offense" is bound to be offensive... Some Wikimedians choose to reveal some details about themselves on their user pages like the languages they speak, their interests, their connection to the wider world and a photo. They may even upload an ownwork to Commons. Others lurk in the shadows. I don't know of a place where editors suggest improvements on other's user pages (in a tactful way), but this isn't it the place (and it wasn't even remotely tactful). @Commander Keane: I don't have a problem with any of that in isolation. Any time someone has sentences like "Google Crowdsource Influencer, Disciple, Software developer and AI enthusiast exploring AI applications in healthcare promotion" on their user page and then links to their email and social media accounts, including LinkedIn, it reeks of self promotion. And what does their Instagram profile say "Public figure"? Yeah, that's totally not self promotion at all. @Adamant1, There’s really nothing promotional on my user page aside a short bio and my contributions to the Wikimedia movement. Unless you’re being biased (which I choose not to believe). Deleting my personal image doesn’t solve any problem here.

Would you be willing to rephrase the paragraph on your user page to be neutral and delete the links to your social media accounts? There's plenty of people on here who do this as part of their profession but don't have user pages like yours or link to their social media. Excusez-moi de vous déranger mais j'ai un doute sur la licence de cette photo File:Roman Doduik à CanneSeries.jpg. La personne qui l'a téléchargée l'a placée dans le domaine public mais je ne suis pas sur qu'il s'agisse de l'auteur. Et pourquoi la placer dans le domaine public si le nom du photographe (un photographe professionnel apparemment) est visible dessus ? C'est la photo de profil instagram de Roman Doduik donc beaucoup de gens peuvent l'avoir vue et téléchargée ici.

I get that you don't like my behavior sometimes. That's your prerogative, but honestly, there's 200 god damn administrators on here but your the one who's constantly up my ass giving me warnings and blocking me all the time. Seriously, what's your deal and why are so incapable of letting an administrator deal with me if my behavior actually an issue? Do you really think another administrator deal with it if you don't or that constantly being up my ass about every little minor thing I do this way is going to make me act better? Like I'm going to see the 12 warning you've given me over nothing after I've repeatedly told you to piss off me and moderate how I act. That's why you are not yet blocked. You may disagree on the DR closure, but it doesn't justify your use of such language. You were already warned about this. I don't think I was warned about not calling an administrator lazy if they close a DR incorrectly. I could have been a little nicer about it, but I'm not going to act like a suck up to administrators when they do something I disagree with. It's impossible to criticize how someone does something without being critical, obviously. That's different from what I was asking you about though and I want an answer to to the question. Why can't you leave the warnings up to another administrator when there's 200 other ones on here?
